Kristal is a healthcare policy and strategy leader with deep expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and services for older adults and people with disabilities. She has focused her career on improving how healthcare systems serve individuals, particularly those navigating complex coverage and care needs. She is currently a consultant with Aurrera Health Group, where she supports state and federal healthcare program administrators in developing and implementing policy. Prior to her current position, Kristal worked in several roles for the federal government, where she contributed to research and analysis that informed national policy conversations. She is particularly interested in advancing clear, trustworthy health information and strengthening the connection between policy design and the everyday realities of those seeking care.
