The Case Begins

It started with reports of suspicious activity. People complained of sudden pains, unexpected bathroom emergencies, and mysterious energy drains. Our Investigative Unit went undercover, and what we discovered shocked us.
Your body is running a full-scale operation with nine masterminds pulling the strings. Each one has been caught in the act, and we’ve got the evidence to prove it.

SUSPECT #1: Albert Appendix

THE CRIME: Getting sick all of a sudden

THE CONFESSION: “You thought I wasn’t doing anything?? I keep your healthy bacteria safe. But they’ll turn against me if I get clogged with poop!”

EVIDENCE COLLECTED:

  • Can be surgically removed if turns against the body

THE CRIME: Making you poop at your friend’s house
THE CONFESSION: “Mess with me, and I’ll just let the poop pile up! You better give me lots of vegetables and fruits.”

EVIDENCE COLLECTED:

  • Manufactures vitamin K and B vitamins
  • Can be removed if necessary

CASE STATUS: Demands fiber tribute

SUSPECT #3: Lamar Liver

THE CRIME: Getting overwhelmed and quitting
THE CONFESSION: “You’ll never escape me! I do over 500 jobs that you need to live. And I can regrow even if you take out part of me!”

EVIDENCE COLLECTED:

  • 2nd heaviest organ (1st is skin)
  • Operates 500+ essential functions
  • Takes toxins out of blood, processes medicines
  • Can grow back when damaged

CASE STATUS: Nearly impossible to destroy…. until it gives up

SUSPECT #4: Bert Brain

THE CONFESSION: “I control everything you do! You need me to think, move, feel, and even breathe. You’ll never beat me!”

CASE STATUS: The ultimate mastermind

SUSPECT #5: Grace Gallbladder

THE CRIME: Making stones and leaving them where they don’t belong
THE CONFESSION: “I thought you’d like the stones I made you! Try eating pizza without me – I send the bile that breaks down all that fat!”

EVIDENCE COLLECTED:

  • Produces stones up to golf ball size
  • Stores bile for fat breakdown
  • Pretends to be important (we don’t actually need her)

CASE STATUS: Expendable accomplice

SUSPECT #6: Kash Kidney

THE CRIME: Raising blood pressure
THE CONFESSION: “I work all day and night to keep your blood clean. If you keep eating so much salt, I’ll raise your blood pressure!”

EVIDENCE COLLECTED:

  • 24/7 blood cleaning operation
  • Controls red blood cell production

SUSPECT #7: Lena Lung

  • Capacity: 6 liters (3 large soda bottles)
  • Oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange operation

SUSPECT #8: Peter Pancreas

  • Large, muscular, left upper belly location
  • Three-layer muscle operation
  • Produces protective mucus against own acid
  • Expands 15x when food arrives

CASE STATUS: Dangerous when provoked
